On Earth Day, Groups Roll Out Massive Foot-Print Petition to Fight Global Warming, New Dirty Coal Plants

Groups rollout welcome mat for clean energy future, bury coal

On Earth Day, Tuesday, April 22, a giant 150-foot-long petition painted with thousands of footprints will be rolled out on the Capitol steps facing Capitol Ave. The event will call on Lansing to walk away from global warming coal plants and carbon dioxide, and invest in clean energy instead. The foot-printed carpet symbolizes the thousands of Michigan citizen that have already signed a petition that calls for Gov. Jennifer Granholm to sign an executive order to cut global warming emissions from dirty coal plants.
