Spring Lake, MI — Alan Steinman, director of the GVSU-Annis Water Resources Institute, will be the featured speaker in a forum called “Politics & the Environment,” sponsored by Progressive Women’s Alliance-Lakeshore from  7 to 8:30 p.m. Monday, April 28, at Christ  Community Church, 225 East Exchange St., Spring Lake.

Steinman will discuss the social, economic, environmental implications of regional water issues and climate change. He’ll share his view of the current politics surrounding these issues at both the state and federal level.

Progressive Women’s Alliance-Lakeshore is a committee of the Progressive Women’s Alliance, a Grand Rapids-based political action committee  founded in 2003 to influence public policy through the election of progressive candidates and the advocacy of a progressive agenda.
