In the last 12 hours, EPA's AirNow web site is showing the 
Code Orange PM 2.5 conditions have occurred in a widescale 
area of the Eastern United States, from Southern New England 
to Eastern Texas and from Michigan to the Gulf Coast.

According to EPA's Airnow site, 
PM 2.5 Code Orange conditions have occurred  in the last 
12 hours in MI, IL, IN, OH, PA, AL, MD, GA and TN.


10 PM GMT airport visibility shows two areas of degraded 
visibility, one in MS-AL-TN and the other in the New England and 
upper middle atlantic states.


Several hazecam sites are hazed out:


Cincinnati, OH is hazed out...


So is Chicago


At Friday 5 PM, Code Orange Ozone conditions 
are extensive scattered throughout the same area as presently 
having PM 2.5 problems.



In the last 18 hours, a number of Southern Michigan sites have
shown ambient PM 2.5 above the level of the 35 microgram per 
cubic meter 24 hour health standard.
