GREEN ON THE BIG SCREEN:
Environmental Films presented by
Michigan State University’s
College of Communication Arts & Sciences and the Knight Center for Environmental Journalism
November 13 – 16, 2008

Michigan State University’s College of Communication Arts & Sciences and the Knight Center for Environmental Journalism are partnering with the East Lansing Film Festival to present Green on the Big Screen, an environmental film festival and fair. The festival and fair will be held in the Communication Arts and Sciences building on the Michigan State University campus from November 13 to 16, 2008.
The environmental film festival is designed to educate, entertain, and stimulate discussion about important environmental issues. Over 20 environmental documentaries, features, family-friendly films and student productions touching on environmental issues such as alternative fuels, water resources, wildlife, food and sustainability will be shown. This open community event along with special guest speakers will encourage dialogue, while showcasing our community’s efforts in solving critical environmental issues of today.
The fair provides the public a chance to learn more about specific environmental issues and the organizations helping to solve environmental problems in the Michigan area and beyond. Environmental organizations, businesses and MSU student groups will have the opportunity to promote the environmental activities, programs and goals of their organization to film attendees.
Please join us in supporting Green on the Big Screen by considering a sponsorship opportunity. A price of $50 will reserve a table for organizations and businesses at the fair and a discounted price of $20 for student organizations. The festival is also looking for student volunteers to help out during this event. This is a great opportunity for students to get involved in an excellent cause.
