DTE's 1771 page environmental review for the proposed Fermi 3 can be
www.nrc.gov/reading-rm/adams.html by entering the number ML082730660.
Once you enter this number, the page listing the document will come up.
Click on the yellow box beneath the words "Image File" to
access the documents. (If you put your cursor over the box, it will say
"view members".) Be sure that you access and copy the pdf files
as the fonts in the other files may translate inaccurately.
It is critical that people turn out at these meetings and also send in
comments. Holding a scoping hearing for an EIS based on a 1771 page
environmental review and a 17,000 page application in a 60 day comment
period (that also encompasses the holidays,) will effectively limit the
public's input. - Kay Cumbow
Snip: "Two identical meetings will be held on Jan. 14, both at the
Meyer Theater of the La-Z-Boy Center at Monroe County Community College,
1555 S. Raisinville Rd. One meeting will run from 1 to 4 p.m. The second
will run from 7 to 10 p.m. An informal hour-long open house with NRC
staff will be held prior to the start of each meeting.
People may register to attend the meeting or present oral comments on the
scope of the environmental review by calling Stephen Lemont or Michelle
Moser at (800) 368-5642, ext. 5163 or 6509, or by e-mailing at
Fermi3.firstname.lastname@example.org no later than 5 p.m. Jan. 6. Members of the public
also may register to speak at the meeting prior to the start of the
session. Those who have not registered also might be able to comment if
time permits, the NRC said.
Written comments on the scope of the environmental review may be
submitted by mail or e-mail no later than Feb. 9. Mailed comments should
be sent to Chief, Rulemaking, Directives and Editing Branch, Division of
Administrative Services, Office of Administration, Mailstop TWB-05-B01M,
U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission, Washington, D.C. 20555-0001 or
e-mailed to Fermi3.email@example.com."
