April 15, 1997	Water Quality Trading Conference 

The conference will be sponsored by the Michigan Department of Environmental 
Quality, Michigan Department of Agriculture and the Michigan Water Environment 
Association in cooperation with the World Resources Institute, Michigan Farm 
Bureau, Michigan United Conservation Clubs, the Michigan Bar Association and the 
Michigan Municipal League. Presentations will be provided on topics including: 
what trading is, modeling of the Saginaw Basin, the Surface Water Quality 
Division's feasibility study, pretreatment trading, point/nonpoint source 
trading, and perspectives from environmental, agricultural, industrial and

(810) 375-0522. This one day conference will be held at the Lansing Center in 
downtown Lansing, Michigan on April 15, 1997.  The Pre-Registration fee is $50 
and includes lunch.  Onsite registrations are allowed only if space is available 
and are subject to a surcharge.
