THREE CALLS FOR PROPOSALS FROM MICHIGAN SEA GRANT
CALL FOR PRELIMINARY PROPOSALS
Michigan Sea Grant College Program
The Michigan Sea Grant College Program is soliciting preliminary
proposals for Fiscal Year 1998, which will begin March 1, 1998. We seek
proposals which will directly address the Sea Grant Objectives listed
below. The deadline for submitting preliminary proposals is APRIL 28,
1997. Contact the Michigan Sea Grant office to obtain more detailed
information regarding the Sea Grant Objectives and complete guidelines

MARINE BIOTECHNOLOGY RESEARCH PROPOSALS SOLICITED
Michigan Sea Grant College Program
The Michigan Sea Grant College Program announces the availability of
funds to support Marine Biotechnology Research. These funds are
available from the National Sea Grant Office under its National
Strategic Investments Program. The funding available for the national
competition is approximately $1.88 million per year. Proposals will be
accepted for one- or two-year duration. Proposal must reach Michigan Sea
Grant by JUNE 16, 1997. Contact the Michigan Sea Grant office for more

SEA GRANT-NOAA PARTNERSHIP PROGRAM PROPOSALS SOLICITED
Michigan Sea Grant College Program
The Michigan Sea Grant College Program announces the availability of
funds to support the Sea Grant-NOAA partnership program. These funds are
available from the National Sea Grant Office under its National
Strategic Investments Program. To encourage a greater degree of
cooperation between NOAA and the university community, Sea Grant will
make available $500,000 per year for research and development grants that
involve collaborative projects. A primary objective of this program is
to increase the effectiveness of Sea Grant resources by focusing
university capabilities on issues of strategic importance to both Sea
Grant and other NOAA line organizations. Proposals must reach Michigan
Sea Grant by JUNE 16, 1997. Contact the Michigan Sea Grant office for
