59th Midwest Fish and Wildlife Conference
Milwaukee, Wisconsin December 7-10, 1997
              for the session entitled
"Conservation and Management of Cold-blooded Animals"
Cold-blooded animals occupy a variety of ecological niches.
As our understanding of the importance cold-blooded species
play in natural systems and processes has increased, the
need for conservation and management has become obvious.
This session will focus on invertebrates, amphibians and
reptiles, and will include topics such as the effects of
traditional management practices on cold-blooded species,
habitat conservation planning and landscape-scale
management techniques, and the use of GIS and other
technologies for cold-blooded species conservation.
The goal of this session will be to examine the current
status of cold-blooded species conservation and management.
The primary audience consists of natural resource managers
and students.

Abstracts for papers, posters and videos must be submitted
in electronic form to either party listed below by June 30,
1997. Authors will be notified by 15 August whether
submissions have been accepted. All contributed papers
will be considered for inclusion in this session, but
especially consider submitting papers that address
conservation and management issues.
