Insatiable Thirst Broadcast on WTVS

A quick reminder for those that can view WTVS, channel 56 from Detroit.

This Sunday (August 3rd at 5pm), "Insatiable Thirst: Groundwater and the
Crisis of Development" will be able to be viewed throughout much of
Michigan and Ontario on WTVS-Detroit, channel 56.

The show is a 30-min documentary examining the impacts of commercial and
residential development on MI's groundwater quality. As much of you know,
almost 50% of Michigan residents rely on groundwater as the sole source of
their drinking water. But our patterns of growth, particularly suburban
sprawl, are putting groundwater at risk.

The show is produced in cooperation
with Michigan Public Television, WFUM-TV, and the Great Lakes Radio
Consortium. It is funded by the W.K. Kellogg Foundation.

Also, because this could be the pilot for more environmental coverage on
public tv, it's important for you to give us your feedback. Tell us what you
like, what you don't like, if you would like more of this type of
environmental coverage, how you would do it differently, and if this
documentary is an important use of your money. Any and all feedback is
appreciated.

I'm the producer David Hammond. I can be reached at glrc@umich.edu or
313-764-9210-telephone.

The funder is the W.K. Kellogg Foundation - tlt@wkkf.sprint.com or
616-968-1611-telephone.

Thanks for watching.
