LAKE SUPERIOR ALLIANCE FALL MEETING
PARADISE, MI
The Lake Superior Alliance will hold its fall meeting in Paradise, Michigan
on Saturday, September 20th from 8:30 AM until 5:00 PM.  Paradise is
located just east of Sault Ste. Marie, on the eastern of Michigan's Upper
Peninsula.  On the agenda are; Reducing airborne mercury that comes into
Lake Superior, a major cause of fish consumption advisories, the protection
of wild rice beds, and land use issues.  The Lake Superior Alliance is a
bi-national coalition of 30 local and regional environmental groups
dedicated to protecting and restoring the Lake Superior basin.  For more
