                       500 Images of the Great Lakes

Minnesota Sea Grant and the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency gathered 500 
high-quality images of the Great Lakes from over 30 agencies and have made them 
available on a compact disk.  The disk is useful for publications, multimedia 
computer presentations, or for Web site images. It is available for $12.

The color images (in JPEG format) can be copied for any purpose as long as they 
are  properly credited to the individual photographer or agency.  Categories 
include scenery, plants and animals, parks and attractions, recreation, research
and education, management, commerce and development, and environmental issues.

A catalog (in Acrobat format) on the CD includes photo credit information and 
thumbnail sketches of the images for quicker browsing.  Different versions of 
the catalog are included for DOS, UNIX, Macintosh or Windows operating systems.
