Re: Important meeting! Duluth's 2001 Vision

The 2001 event is Feb. 10 from 7 - 9 pm at the 
First United Methodist(Coppertop Church), 230 E. Skyline Pkwy.
Duluth, Minnesota

2001 Implementation Committee will present the scorecard, give a report
about what's happened with the action
items so far (some have come to pass; some are being worked on; some are
languishing).  There will also be opportunity for discussion about
unfulfilled action items and new issues (probably the Des Moines will come
The score card can be used as a tool for rating new issues with
the 2001 Vision).
The scorecard includes these questions, which you can answer
with a:  YES!;  Somewhat; Not Really; NO! answer
Will this project:
Preserve and expand the natural heritage systems of the area?
Provide easy access to recreational opportunities?
Preserve Duluth's historic and architectural resources?
Make Duluth a more neighborly, inclusive and child-friendly city?
Encourage high educational attainment at all levels?
Use our schools and community centers intensively for all population groups?
Make Duluth safer, more liveable and affordable?
Foster the development of cutting edge technologies and businesses?
Attract and retain highly-skilled people and businesses that value the natural
Increase the visibility of the arts community and attract innovative people to
Create job opportunities for young people and provide for innovative training?
