Job: Huron River Watershed Council

Position:  Executive Director

The Huron River Watershed Council is a coalition of Huron Valley
residents and local governments established under under Michigan's Local
River Management Act and is the oldest regional, river protection
organization in Michigan.  The mission of the Council is to inspire
attitudes, behaviors, and economies that protect, rehabilitate, and
sustain the Huron River System.

Duties and Responsibilities:
* Serve as chief liaison w/ Executive Committee & Board of Directors
Work with Board of Directors to establish organizational goals and
policies and implement strategic plan(s)
Assist in Board development & training

* Design, coordinate and implement fundraising activities
Build individual  and corporate membership & contributions
Maintain and expand municipal membership
Expand corporate/municipal payroll deduction programs access

* Oversee administrative and financial record-keeping, annual audits,
and budget development
* Develop & implement organizational policies
* Oversee personnel reviews, hiring, compensation and benefits
* Serve as spokesperson for the organization
* Provide organizational vision

HRWC seeks a dynamic individual with a minimum of 5+ years of proven
experience in nonprofit management, fundraising, board  development, and
marketing.  Bachelor's degree expected, preference to candidates with
requisite experience and advanced degree(s).  Position requires
excellent oral and written communication skills.

$35,000 - $40,000 depending upon experience, plus benefits
