ENVIRONMENTAL JUSTICE THROUGH POLLUTION PREVENTION (EJP2) GRANTS
*	April 20, 1998.
*	$4.2 million available.
*	Eligible applicants are nonprofit, community-based/grass-roots
organizations, tribal organizations, state and local governments and
academic institutions.
	The purpose of the EJP2 grant program is to support the use of
pollution prevention approaches (eliminating or reducing the creation of
pollution at its source) to address the environmental problems of
minority and/or low-income and tribal communities.  Projects funded may
involve assisting small businesses, demonstrating the benefits of
pollution prevention to communities and their businesses, community
involvement programs, public education and training.
