The Council of Great Lakes Governors, a Chicago-based regional Governors association has an immediate opening for a detail-oriented, flexible, self-motivated individual as Staff Assistant.  

The duties for this entry-level position include: answering phones, greeting guests, faxing, ordering supplies, organizing meetings, making and coordinating travel arrangements, opening and closing the office, and general office work as assigned for a sta
ff of ten people.  In addition to general office duties, the Staff Assistant will be responsible for performing basic policy research and project work for the Council's economic and environmental programs as needed. This position offers an outstanding gro
wth opportunity for a dedicated and reliable professional.

The Staff Assistant is responsible to the Executive Director and assists a staff of ten.

Individual must be computer literate with some systems knowledge and experience. Knowledge of Microsoft Office is necessary. Excellent telephone, organizational and communication skills are essential.  Quick learner and positive attitude a must.  Bachelor
's degree preferred.
