Winona LaDuke



Winona LaDuke, one of the nation's top experts on Native American
environmental issues, will speak Wednesday, March 25 at 7 p.m. in the
McDonel Residence Hall Kiva at Michigan State University. She will
address "Native Environmentalism on the Brink of the Millennium." 

LaDuke is an Ojibwe who lives and works on the White Earth reservation
in northern Minnesota. In 1994, Time Magazine listed her as one of the
nation's most promising leaders under 40. 

Admission is a nonperishable food item that will be donated to the
MSU Student Food Bank.
