The NY Great Lakes Research Consortium still has a few openings for
participants in this summer's 16 day intensive practicum in Great Lakes
Environmental Science for undergraduate teaching faculty held from June 7 -
22 at SUNY Oswego. Application deadline has been extended until April 1.
The program is funded by the National Science Foundation and all applicants
accepted receive free tuition, housing and meals. Program modules include:
* Great Lakes Ecosystem Science and Environmental Analysis,
* Techniques for Analyzing Toxic Chemicals Commonly Found in the Great
Lakes and their Tributaries,
* Ecosystem Modeling: Mass Balance/Bioenergetics
* Writing an Environmental Impact Statement and Developing Problem-solving
Curricula for Undergraduates.
