Dear Interested Individuals and Organizations:
     
Please join the Aquatic Nuisance Species Task Force at its summer
meeting.  A highlight of the meeting will be Task Force recognition of 
the contributions of Senator John Glenn in advancing programs to 
address nonindigenous species problems and concerns.  The ANS Task 
Force Web site will be unveiled.  

Possible action items that will be addressed include decisions on
various ANS Task Force issues such as the voluntary national
recreational activity guidelines for submission to the U.S. Coast Guard,
approval of the development of a Green Crab Control Program, and brown
tree snake actions and plans.  Information about the status of plans for
voluntary national ballast water guidelines, the Ballast Water
Management Demonstration program, regional panel and committee
activities, State and interstate management plans, and the
Administration's Invasive Alien Species Initiative will be provided.
