INTERNSHIP
INDIANA DUNES ENVIRONMENTAL LEARNING CENTER
SEASONAL NATURALISTS: Indiana Dunes Environmental Learning Center,
Chesterton, IN. CD: 8/1/98. RESPONSIBILITIES: New ELC within Indiana
Dunes National Lakeshore is seeking enthusiastic naturalists to work
with residential EE program. Program serves 4th-6th grade students from
predominantly urban environments. Naturalists develop and lead hands-on
classes with themes centering on environmental change, ecological
diversity, human and environmental interaction of Indiana Dunes region.
QUALIFICATIONS: BS/BA or currently working toward completion,
preferably in ed., natural sciences, parks/recreation or related fields;
valid drivers license and reliable transportation; enthusiasm for
working with children; prior experience in O/E or residential camping
desirable; excellent communication skills; knowledge of Great Lakes
region aplus; self motivated learner; able to work independently; no
pets. Benefits: $125/week stipend; housing/meals; uniform. Send
