While the conference features excellent speakers, the highlight should be the breakout sessions where participants will be asked to help prioritize issues to focus state and federal spending for the Lake Huron Watershed over the next three to five years. Key confirmed speakers include Russell Harding, Director, DEQ; K.L. Cool, Director, DNR; Keith Creagh, Deputy Director, Department of Agriculture with a keynote address by Michael Donahue, Executive Director, Great Lakes Commission. Additional speakers include Dennis Albert, Michigan Natural Features Inventory; Tim Henry, Associate Director, Water Division, U.S. EPA; Gus Jordan, Assistant State Conservationist, Natural Resources Conservation Service; Randy Eshenroder, Senior Scientist, Great Lakes Fisheries Commission; Warren Dunlop, Ontario Ministry of Natural Resources; Elizabeth Cisar, Director, The Conservation Fund; Charles Curtiss, President, Saginaw Bay Land Conservancy; and Dr. Ken Merckel, Michigan Steelheader and Salmon Fisherman's Association.
