New York State Department of Environmental Conservation

New York's Department of Environmental Conservation is a multifaceted
agency whose responsibilities include pollution control and cleanup, as
well as management and stewardship of natural resources. The
department's rapidly-growing web site reflects this diversity, with
content ranging from air monitoring data to recreational information.
Pay them a visit to check the rules that apply to hunting and fishing,
reserve a state campsite, learn about mining and DEC environmental
education centers, or sample the New York Wildlife Viewing Guide.
