     GLIN-folks!
     
     By popular request, I'll try to keep you updated as conferences are 
     scheduled for the FY 1999 Appropriations bills containing items 
     related to Great Lakes issues.  Conferences are the 'last chance' to 
     weigh in on individual programs contained in these appropriations 
     bills as conferees resolve the differences between the House and 
     Senate bills.
     
     Energy and Water Development Appropriations - September 24-25.  (Army 
     Corps of Engineers Programs) 
     
     Agriculture, Rural Development, Food and Drug Administration, and 
     Related Agencies Appropriations - September 30.
