Subject: ANS Task Force Meeting, Vicksburg, MS - Nov. 17-18, 1998
Please join the Aquatic Nuisance Species Task Force at its Fall
meeting, at the U.S. Army Engineer Waterways Experiment Station,
Vicksburg, MS. Vicksburg is located on the lower Mississippi River,
and one of the highlights of the meeting will be a tour of the WES
facilities. Possible items that will be addressed during the meeting
include addressing nonindigenous species in NEPA compliance, New
Zealand mud snail control program proposal, the Review Committee
report on green crab control proposal, Western Regional Panel
relationship with Western Governors Association, voluntary National
Recreational Guidelines, Alien Invasive Species Executive Order
implementation, brown tree snake FY 1999 priority objectives, national
nonindigenous species assessment program proposal, and types of
control that should be included in control programs authorized by the
ANS Task Force.
