Great Lakes, Great Challenges” conference at MSU: March 11


        EAST LANSING, Michigan -- Leading scientists and
environmental/fishery managers will present current research findings
and provide practical approaches for addressing key Great Lakes issues
March 11 at the “Great Lakes, Great Challenges” conference at Michigan
State University.
The free event, scheduled from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the Lincoln
Room of the Kellogg Center, will feature what MSU and other researchers
are finding out about various aspects of the Great Lakes ecosystem.
Topics will include fisheries, contaminants, recreational opportunities
and tribal issues.
        Sponsoring this year’s 10th Annual Great Lakes Conference, held in
conjunction with MSU’s ANR Week, are MSU’s Department of Fisheries and
Wildlife and Institute of Water Research, and Michigan Sea Grant, a
cooperative program of MSU and the University of Michigan in Great
Lakes and marine research, education and outreach.
