GLERL is pleased to announce the availability of the proceedings for the
Great Lakes Paleo-Levels Workshop: the Last 4000 Years, held at GLERL
on April 13-14, 1999 and edited by Cynthia Sellinger and Frank
Quinn. The proceedings contains papers by eminent researchers in
the paleo-lake levels field such as C.F.M. Lewis, Curtis Larsen, John P.
Coakley, Todd Thompson, and Steve Baedke. The aim of the workshop was
to identify the range of Great Lakes water levels for the last 4000 years
(present Great Lakes).

The proceedings can be found on the web at
ftp://ftp.glerl.noaa.gov/publications/tech_reports/glerl-113/tm-113.pdf
These papers make especially good reading in light of the recent major
drop in lake levels.
