GLIN==> Land Transformation model for the Grand Traverse Bay watershed

The Michigan State Sustainable Agriculture Network (MSAN) presents

A LAND TRANSFORMATION MODEL FOR THE GRAND TRAVERSE BAY WATERSHED: USING
TECHNOLOGY TO UNDERSTAND COMPLEX NATURAL RESOURCE ISSUES

with Dr. Bryan Pijanowski, Assistant Professor of Entomology, MSU.

Friday, October 8
12:00 noon
338 Natural Resources
Michigan State University Campus; East Lansing, Michigan

Dr. Pijanowski leads the "Land Transformation Modeling Project," which
describes the influence of land use change on ecosystem integrity and
economic
sustainability of large regions. During his seminar, he will explain how the
model is helping to improve land-use management and to preserve open space
and
farmland in the Grand Traverse Bay watershed. To find out more about Dr.
Pijanowski's work, check out:

The Friday following the seminar, October 15, at 12:00 noon, the MSAN will
sponsor a discussion about Dr. Pijanowski's seminar in room 338 Natural
Resources. Those who attend the seminar (and even those who do not) are
encouraged to attend.
