Great Lakes, Great Rivers 2000 - "A vision for tomorrow"
Last Call for Abstracts Deadline: December 15, 1999
This is the last call for abtracts for the 43rd Annual Conference of the
International Association of Great Lakes Research (IAGLR). The conference,
"Great Lakes, Great Rivers 2000 A vision for tomorrow " is hosted by the
St. Lawrence River Institute of Environmental Sciences (SLRIES) in
partnership with the University of Ottawa and the Mohawk Council of
Akwesasne. The conference will be held at the NAVCANADA Conference Center
Cornwall, Ontario, Canada from May 21 to 26th, 2000. The conference is
designed to integrate disciplines and to focus on the future health of
Great Lakes and the St. Lawrence River Ecosystems for the next century.
All conference information is NOW posted on the IAGLR website, fees,
logistics, abstract submission, accommodations, plenary speakers,
workshops, special sessions and more.

All scientific oral presentations have been planned for 5/22, 5/23, 5/24
and 5/25 until noon. Oral and Poster presentations do require you to have
an abstract. Abstracts may be submitted for a special session or as a
general contribution. If you are uncertain about the most suitable
placement of your paper, please contact the special session chairs. Contact
information will be available below each session title. Some open sessions
may be arranged, but this will depend on the abstracts received and the
space available. Please note that presentations by platform presenters will
be limited to 15 minutes, followed by a 5 minute question/discussion
period. A poster presentation will be held in the evening.
Abstract Submission
Abstracts are limited to a maximum of 200 words. PLEASE WRITE YOUR ABSTRACT
FOR A GENERAL AUDIENCE. (i.e., as much as possible, try to make your
abstract readable for people outside your field) YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR
ALL GRAMMATICAL ERRORS. Abstracts are due by December 15, 1999. All
abstracts must be
submitted via the IAGLR Web site at:
