--->> The Great Lakes Heritage Coast Project
<http://www.mnr.gov.on.ca/MNR/glhc/index.html>
A centerpiece of Ontario's Living Legacy strategy, the Great Lakes
Heritage Coast includes all of the Ontario coastline of Lake Superior,
the north shore of the St. Mary's River, and the coast of Lake Huron to
the eastern coast of Georgian Bay: more than 1,800 miles (2,900 km) of
spectacular landscapes and shoreline. The vision of the project is to
creatively protect and promote the Coast's scenic beauty and its natural
ecosystems.

--->> Current Great Lakes-St. Lawrence water levels

Check here to view hourly data from water level gauging stations on the
Great Lakes and connecting channels. For more updates on levels, and the
latest forecasts and media coverage, check out the GLIN Hydrology

--->>Great Lakes Dredging Team <http://www.glc.org/projects/dredging/>
Visit the newly enhanced Dredging Team web site for case studies and
valuable information regarding contaminated sediments and dredged
material management in the region. This partnership of federal and state
agencies was created to assure that the dredging of U.S. harbors and
channels throughout the Great Lakes, connecting channels and tributaries
is conducted in a timely and cost-effective manner while meeting
environmental protection, restoration and enhancement goals.

--->>Great Backyard Bird Count, Feb. 18-21
<http://birdsource.cornell.edu/gbbc/>
This weekend get outside and count the birds in your backyard and local
parks! Last year, BirdSource received more than 42,000 checklists from
bird enthusiasts across the country, and have used those reports to
determine how different species have moved across the landscape.
Co-sponsored by The Cornell Lab of Ornithology, located in the Finger
Lakes region of New York.
