GLIN==> IJC provides live webcast regarding the export of Great Lakes water



Great Lakes Water Exports

What:		The International Joint Commission is providing a live
webcast of its news teleconference on its Final Report dealing with exports
of Great Lakes water.  All interested persons are invited and have the
opportunity to listen over the Internet.  

When:		Wednesday, March 15, 11 a.m. (EST)

Conference.  To listen to the live call, please go to the web site at least
fifteen minutes early to register, download and install any necessary audio
software, if you do not already have it.  For those who cannot listen to the
live broadcast at 11a.m., a replay will be available at
http://www.ijc.org/ijcweb-e.html shortly after the news conference ends.  

On February 10, 1999, the United States and Canadian federal governments
asked the International Joint Commission (IJC) to examine and report on the
consumptive uses, diversion and removal of waters along the common border,
including bulk removals for export.  During the teleconference, the IJC will
discuss its Final Report to Governments and will publicly release it the
same day.  The teleconference will include an overview of the findings,
conclusions and recommendations contained in the Final Report.
