On June 8-9 the Pelee Island Conference Wave of the Future will take place.
This conference will be the first economic development conference to be held
for island communities in the Great Lakes. Municipalities, government,
first nations, parks, business organizations, & businesses will get together
to discuss the issues that face island communities. Anyone with an interest
in Great Lakes islands can attend the conference.
Development, transportation, alternative energy, & tourism are a few of the
topics on the agenda. There will be nationally recognized speakers
including our Keynote Speaker Andrea Gutsche from Lynx Images, an integrated
documentary film production company & book publisher. Lynx Images is most
well known for the documentary Mysterious Islands.

Ontario’s First Island
Economic Development Conference
