POSITION VACANCY

Program Specialist
Resource Management Program

The Great Lakes Commission has an immediate opening for a self-starting,
highly motivated
team player to work on Great Lakes water quality policy and resource
management projects.
The individual will provide staff support on issues such as aquatic
nuisance species, soil
erosion and sediment control, watershed planning and management and
other related
ongoing projects.

The ideal candidate must possess strong verbal, research, writing and
computer skills.
Knowledge of the Great Lakes, regional government, water quality, land
use and related
resource management issues a must. Committee support experience and the
ability to plan
and conduct meetings desirable.  Familiarity with database management
software, desktop
publishing and internet applications a plus.

Relevant graduate degree or undergraduate degree and two years of
related work
