OHIO LAKE ERIE COMMISSION HOSTS
9TH. ANNUAL OHIO LAKE ERIE CONFERENCE

The Ohio Lake Erie Commission will host its 9th Annual Ohio Lake Erie 
Conference titled, "Our Great Lake at the Millennium", on Thursday, 
September 7, 2000 in Sandusky, OH, featuring programs and projects that 
preserve, restore and protect Lake Erie. The day-long conference will be 
held at the Radisson Harbour Inn.

The main focus of the conference will be the presentation of the Lake Erie 
Protection & Restoration Plan and the Commission agencies' commitment to 
this long-term strategy plan for Our Great Lake. The Commission will also 
present the annual Ohio Lake Erie Awards during the luncheon followed by 
the announcement of the Year 2000 Lake Erie Protection Fund (LEPF) Awards, 
featuring LEPF grant projects in the afternoon.

In conjunction with this conference, the Ohio Lake Erie Commission will 
hold its quarterly meeting the afternoon before the conference on 
Wednesday, September 6, 2000, 2:00 p.m. in the North Coast Meeting Room of 
the Radisson Harbour Inn.  All Commission meetings are open to the public 
in which citizens and groups interested in Lake Erie issues are encouraged 
to attend.

Travel Directions
The Radisson Harbour Inn is conveniently located less than one quarter mile 
east of the Cedar Point Causeway at 2001 Cleveland Road in Sandusky, Ohio.

Accommodations
Overnight accommodations are available at a special conference rate of 
$60.00 at the Radisson Harbour Inn. Attendees will receive this discounted 
room rate by mentioning the Lake Erie Conference when making reservations. 
Each individual is responsible for their own reservations. Room reservation 
deadline is August 28.  For reservations, please call (800) 333-3333 or

Registration Information
The registration fee is $30.00. This entitles attendee to a continental 
breakfast, walleye luncheon, refreshments at breaks, conference materials, 
and free parking.  Registration deadline is August 31.
