Wipers latest surprise from the Maumee

A wiper is a cross of the white bass and striped bass, and it is not
supposed to be in the Maumee River. In fact, it is illegal to stock
wipers
in any Great Lakes drainage for fear that they might contaminate the
gene
pool of native white bass.
