Dear Colleague-

This is just a short note to inform you that the Coastal GeoTools '01
conference agenda has been finalized and may be viewed at
http://www.csc.noaa.gov/GeoTools/ . Coastal GeoTools is a conference
designed to promote the understanding and use of geospatial technologies
such as geographic information systems (GIS), remote sensing, the Global
Positioning System (GPS), and the Internet to enhance coastal
management. The conference will be held January 8 to 11, 2001 in
Charleston, South Carolina, and will include more than 80 expert
presentations, an interactive poster session, hands-on GIS, GPS, and
other training, a Share Fair, special interest meetings, commercial
exhibits, and a private reception at the new South Carolina Aquarium
(http://www.scaquarium.org/).

You can still receive the early registration rate until October 20th.
December 1st is the final day for conference registration, as well as
the cutoff date for reduced rate accommodations at the Charleston Place
Hotel. Space is limited, so be sure to register soon.

We are currently seeking additional topics for special interest
meetings. If you have a coastal geospatial technology discussion topic
that you feel would be interesting, informative, and interactive, please
e-mail your suggestion to GeoTools@noaa.gov.

We hope to see you in January!

Sincerely,

Steve Meador and Mark Jansen
