SITE OF THE MONTH for January: GREAT LAKES SUSTAINABLE LAND USE
http://www.glc.org/bridges/
This gateway provides information about land use and related issues that
affect the daily lives of those who live in the Great Lakes region. Two
key land-use issues in the region are the redevelopment of brownfields
sites and the protection of farmland and other greenfields on the
outskirts of urban areas. Featured web sites that address these issues
include The Great Lakes Regional Online Brownfields Information Network
(ROBIN) and the Great Lakes Greenfields Exchange. You'll also find
resources about Smart Growth, sprawl and planning, and links to policies
and activities that can be applied in Great Lakes states/provinces or
municipalities to promote sustainable land use. The Great Lakes
Sustainable Land Use site is a product of the collaborative BRIDGES
project to promote sustainable development through more efficient and
effective land use in the Great Lakes basin.

If you would like to nominate a site for GLIN Site of the Month, see
