Project NEMO**  From Concept to Reality

A Nonpoint Source Pollution Education Training Workshop 
For Educators, Planners, and Natural Resource Professionals in Northern 
Minnesota and Wisconsin

Wednesday February 28 -- Thursday March 1, 2001
Day 1:  Best Western Edgewater Hotel, Duluth, MN
Day 2:  University of Wisconsin Superior

Day 1 (Full Day): Topics will include a NEMO introduction/refresher and in-depth
topics, such as estimating land cover and impervious surfaces, step-by-step 
guidance for build-out scenarios, Best Management Practices, and how to initiate
local NEMO programs.

Day 2 (Half Day): Participants will work on computers to learn about GIS data 
sources, how GIS is used in NEMO programs, and how to modify NEMO presentations 
using Power Point. Maximum of 40 people.

Trainers will include members of the national NEMO team and local experts.

Registration Fee: $25 includes 1-1/2 day workshop,  materials, breaks, and lunch
on Day 1. 
Registration for Day 1-only: $20.
