GLIN==> DeadLine Nears for 10th Annual Ohio Lake Erie Conference

OHIO LAKE ERIE COMMISSION HOSTS
10TH ANNUAL OHIO LAKE ERIE CONFERENCE
This week is the deadline for registering to attend the Ohio Lake Erie
Commission's 10th Annual Ohio Lake Erie Conference titled, "Balanced Growth
for Lake Erie's Future", on Thursday, September 6, 2001 in Mentor, Ohio,
featuring programs and projects that represent Balanced Growth along the
Lake Erie shoreline. The day-long conference will be held at the Holiday
Inn Express Hotel & Suites LaMalfa Centre. The Commission will also present
the annual Ohio Lake Erie Awards during the luncheon followed by the
announcement of the Year 2001 Lake Erie Protection Fund (LEPF) Grant
Awards, featuring LEPF grant projects in the afternoon.
In conjunction with this conference, the Ohio Lake Erie Commission will
hold its quarterly meeting the afternoon before the conference on
Wednesday, September 5, 2001, at 2:00 p.m. This meeting will be hosted by
the City of Mentor at their Mentor Beach Park Pavilion, 7779 Lakeshore
Blvd., Mentor-on-the-Lake, Ohio. A tour of the Mentor Lagoons will follow
this meeting. The Commission meeting is a public forum in which citizens
and groups interested in Lake Erie issues are welcome to attend.

Overnight accommodations on September 5 are available at a special
conference rate of $65.00 at the Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites
attached to the LaMalfa Centre. Attendees will receive this discounted room
rate by mentioning the Lake Erie Conference when making reservations. Each
individual is responsible for their own reservations. Reservation deadline

Registration Information:
The registration fee is $30.00. This entitles attendee to a continental
breakfast, luncheon, refreshment break and conference materials.
