REQUEST FOR QUALIFICATIONS

The Duck and Otter Creeks Partnership, Inc., a
non-profit organization in Oregon, Ohio, is requesting
qualifications for the development of a Wetlands
Identification and Restoration Plan for the Duck and
Otter Creeks Watersheds. The purpose of the plan is to
identify areas adjacent to or near Duck and Otter
Creek where restoring or enhancing wetlands will
provide a direct benefit(s) to the health of the creek
and/or its surrounding habitat. These benefits could
include any of the following: directly or indirectly
improving water quality, restoring natural stream
functions (such as sinuosity or floodplains),
improving or expanding wildlife habitat, filtering
sediments, and/or capturing contaminants.

Development of this plan will entail several steps:
preliminary identification of actual or potential
wetlands, field verification, selection of top
candidate sites and detailed investigation of those
wetlands, and conceptual plans (and cost estimates)
for improvement or restoration of selected sites. The
start date for the project has not been set and is
dependent on securing funding, but the project should
be completed within 12-18 months of start date.

For a more detailed description of the project,
contact Kristina Patterson.

Qualification packets should include information
demonstrating successful project experience for
similar projects, references, qualifications of
project staff and familiarity with ORAM and QHEI, and
any other pertinent information to assist in the
selection process.

Deadline: Qualifications packets should be submitted
no later than October 19, 2001.

Interested consultants should register with Kristina
Patterson. All registered consultants will be notified
of any substantial changes, clarifications, etc. that
would assist in the preparation of the qualification
packages.

To register and request additional information,
contact Kristina Patterson at (419) 530-8366 or via
email at dopartnership@yahoo.com.

The Partnership is a 501(c)3 non-profit and is a
non-discriminatory, equal opportunity organization.
