SITE OF THE MONTH for November: State of Michigan

Michigan.gov is the award-winning state government web portal launched 
on July 10, 2001. Designed by customers for customers, Michigan.gov 
organizes state information and more than 100 online services by 
customer need (e.g., Business Services, Travel and Recreation). This 
organization, coupled with a statewide search engine, allows customers 
to locate most information within just three clicks of the mouse. 
Customers can also personalize the site to get the most up-to-date links 
on favorite topics with each login.

GLIN's new searchable FUNDING AND GRANTS GUIDE

This site offers a fully searchable database of well over 100 grant, 
fellowship and scholarship sources that have relevance for the Great 
Lakes audience. The database will be updated weekly and enhanced over 
time. Funding for this project was through a grant from the U.S. 
EPA-Great Lakes National Program Office.

MIDWEST ENVIRONMENTAL ADVOCATES

MEA is a legal and technical resource center for community groups across 
Wisconsin, Minnesota and Upper Michigan who are working for 
environmental justice. Founded in 2000, one of MEA's first campaigns is 
to provide legal support for a multicultural coalition of communities 
who are impacted by high levels of toxins in the waters and fish of the 
western Great Lakes. MEA recently published "Being Heard: A Citizen's 
Guide to DNR Hearings"...see

LIGHTHOUSES of Lake Ontario

Contains descriptions, histories, and pictures of Lake Ontario's U.S.
