Great Lakes Regional CLIMATE CHANGE Assessment

The Great Lakes assessment is one of 19 regional assessments sponsored
by the U.S. EPA and coordinated by the U.S. Global Change Research
Program. The Great Lakes team consists of more than 30 faculty, students
and external collaborators from around the region. Register now for
their March 22 workshop: "Climate Change and Agriculture in the Great
Lakes Region."
STUDY: Trace amounts of chemicals in streams

What's in that water? This week, USGS unveiled the first-ever study of
pharmaceuticals, hormones and other organic waste water-related
chemicals in streams across the nation, including several in the Great
Lakes region.

SOLO SAILING: The Great Lakes Singlehanded Society

The Great Lakes Singlehanded Society is an organization established for
the perpetuation of the sport of solo sailing. Its purpose is twofold:
the first being to encourage the development of suitable techniques,
equipment and gear for shorthanded passage under sail; the second is the
recognition of accomplishments of singlehanded sailors in the Great
Lakes region.
All eight Great Lakes governors have now delivered their annual STATE OF
