Communities across North America are dealing with abandoned,
underused and environmentally stressed lands. The conference
will address many of the challenges facing communities as they
seek to revitalize waterfronts and adjoining lands to nearby
lands affected by past industrial and other human activities.
Issues relating to this topic range from Bill 56 legislation
governing Brownfields, risk assessment and remediation of
contaminated sediments and waterfront lands to assessing appropriate
land uses for Brownfield sites affected by industrial and human activities.

The organizing committee of St. Lawrence River Institute in partnership
Cornwall Renaissance Group are pleased to host Brownfield Redevelopment -
We invite you to participate and join scientists, specialist, land
developers,
students, managers, developers, accountants, lawyers, environmental
consultants,
municipal staff and politicians of urban and rural municipalities, as well
as
school boards from across Ontario.
