This panel will explore methods and technologies being implemented to increase energy efficiency in a host of applications.11:45 am Lunch Break with Keynote Speaker – Merwin Brown, Department of Energy, National Renewable Energy Lab Other luncheon speakers include: Michael Swenson, CEO, Xcel Energy State Senator Sheila Harsdorf 1:00 pm Regulatory and Policy Panel - Regulatory and economic policies have a major impact on the development and implementation of alternative energy sources and applications. This panel will discuss future trends in the regulatory and policy arena as they relate to the alternative energy issues.2:00 pm Technology Panel - Solar, wind, and biomass are the most relevant renewable energy sources for Wisconsin. In addition, combined heat and power is a very cost effective way of providing additional energy. This panel will examine how each of these technologies is contributing to an increasing share of Wisconsin’s energy needs.3:15 pm Fuel Cell Panel - Fuel cell technology has the promise to provide a clean and efficient source of energy for both stationary and transportation applications.
