Lake Superior - Coastal Wetlands, Assessing Ecological Communities, and

The forum will examine the water resources of Lake Superior and the coastal
plain with specific attention to the effects of land use on coastal plain
rivers and wetlands, recent research on environmental indicators in the
Great Lakes Basin, and the successes of native fisheries rehabilitation in
Lake Superior.

This is the fifth in a series of public forums being held by the Wisconsin
Academy of Sciences, Arts and Letters as part of its Water of Wisconsin
initiative.  WOW has been examining the status, sustainability, and future
of Wisconsin's waters.  Working with leading water experts and concerned
citizens around the state, the Wisconsin Academy has sought to bring varied
perspectives together through informed discussion of water use, management,
and science.
