Dear Shorebird Fans,

Donald and Lillian Stokes have published a new little pocket guide to
shorebirds called "Beginner's Guide To Shorebirds".  It covers all North
American shorebirds.  It has a wonderful introduction to how to identify
them and nice background information on shorebird migration, ecology, and
conservation.  For each shorebird, they provide beautiful full color
photographs in breeding and non-breeding plumage and maps with general
timing for when shorbirds arrive at various points along their migration
route.
