Workshop
Indigenous Organizational Development: Benefits and Challenges


To strengthen indigenous grassroots citizen initiatives working to protect
and restore Great Lakes shorelines, inland lakes, rivers, wetlands, and
other aquatic habitats in the Great Lakes Basin, the
GLAHNF Indigenous Peoples Hub has invited panelists to address the
following:

       What are/were the models for developing their organization?
       What are the benefits to organizing in indigenous communities; what
are the challenges?
       What resources do these organizations have to offer start-up and
small groups?
       How can individuals participate in efforts to protect aquatic
habitats in indigenous communities?
