"Mark your calendars. The EPA, Interstate Technology and Regualtory Council, and Milwaukee Community Service Corps will be co-hosting a national phytotechnologies workshop in Milwaukee on November 19th, 20th, and 21st, at the Hillside Terrace Resource Center, 1452 N. 7th Street. The first day of the workshop will run from noon to 5:00 and is free and open to the general public. A reception will follow. The workshop will explore the application of phytoremediation and the use of certain plant species to reduce environmental hazards. DAY ONE will feature a good introduction to phytotechnologies and a panel discussion featuring the State Street (Ashland Oil) site. A bus tour of local sites will conclude DAY THREE.
