Gas Working Group ---------------------------------- A panel of experts on Monday, December 15, will discuss recent
developments with the Restructured Upper Mississippi River -- Illinois Waterway
System Navigation Study. To be
examined are assumptions and costs associated with various alternatives for
reducing transportation delays on the * Dr. Ray Mundy,
Director of the Center for Transportation Studies at the
University of Missouri-St. Louis (UMSL); * Scott Faber,
Senior Attorney at Environmental Defense; and * Dr. Robert
Stearns, Visiting Professor,
Public Affairs and Former Deputy Assistant Secretary

of Management and Budget to request $110 million in the president's fiscal 2005
budget for the Manufacturing Extension Partnership (MEP). MEP is a federal/state partnership that

contact Kris Sarri at 202/224-0606. The signature deadline is NATURAL GAS WORKING GROUP ------------------------- The Bipartisan Natural Gas Working Group -- co-chaired by Reps. Mike
Castle (R-DE) and Sherrod Brown (D-OH) -- is crafting legislation that will
help stabilize natural gas prices and supply. The working group's objective is to
develop and advance environmentally-responsible consensus legislation promoting
