Milwaukee, Wis., and Muskegon, Mich., is scheduled to begin service
in June 2004. The Lake Michigan Car Ferry is the first high-speed
vehicle and passenger ship ever built and designed to operate within

Agency's Great Lakes National Program Office is requesting initial
proposals for projects, collectively totaling up to $4,180,000,
furthering protection and clean up of the Great Lakes ecosystem.
