GLIN==> Toledo Coke Oven

For those in Michigan, particularly in SE Michigan,
and also for those in Ontario, interested in the
proposed FDS Coke oven presently in permitting
in Toledo/Oregon, OH, I have placed some
documents at my web site, including the proposed
permit and the Ohio EPA staff determination.

http://www.sagady.com/FDSCokePlant/

This is the facility with projected 680 lbs/year of mercury that
is also trying to slip under the deadline for more
stringent pollutant controls for ozone precursors
effective June 15.

The facility will have no emission limitations or testing
requirements for mercury emissions.

In addition, the facility is being designed so that
all or a portion of 1 of the 4 coke oven batteries can
vent uncontrolled coke oven gases for up to 2 weeks
per year.

Comments are presently due on 5/24/2004 to
matthew_Stanfield@ohio.epa.state.oh.us or to
his fax at (419)936-3959

Further information on the application available
from Matt Stanfield (419)936-3015 (voice phone)
