The Summer 2004 issue includes articles about:
* The IJC's International Watersheds Initiative. A report from
Commissioners' on the concept and newly adopted guiding principles.
* Commentary from Regional Office Director, Dr. Gail Krantzberg on
monitoring and cleanup of contaminated sediment.
* Join the discussion! The IJC launches its on-line bulletin board to
encourage public comment and discussion on the review of the Great Lakes
Water Quality Agreement.
* Mark your calendars for the 2005 IJC Great Lakes Conference and
Biennial Meeting -- June 9-11, 2005 on the campus of Queen's University in
historic Kingston, Ontario.
* The International Red River Board begins an examination of setting
nutrient objectives for the Red River.
In this issue, the IJC gives special recognition to the volunteer service of
Bill Gummer and his contributions to the advisory boards dealing with the
Red River since 1974.
The IJC also bids farewell to long-time staff member Marty Bratzel, whom
retired after serving the IJC's Great Lakes Regional Office for 31 years.
